Welcome! My name is Shameria and I’m the founder of Merias Cakes & Co. My passion for cooking began as a teenager when I observed how food brought people together. You know the old saying “a way to someone’s heart is through their stomach”’…we were established primarily off this principle alone. As I watched my family gather for many occasions, the food and desserts were the most important piece of our union. It was in those moments of being together that I knew the tradition had to be carried on and shared with others.

The start to my catering journey was out of my home for what we called soul food Sundays. This was an idea formed to serve the community by bringing more families to the dinner table to share quality time.

Food and desserts are my love language, it is an unspoken way to express love or show ones appreciation.

My love for culinary art allowed me to create specialized menus. This is what led me to offer services on a larger scale for fundraisers, corporate and personal events. Now I have expanded and transferred that same love to the beauty of cake art which allows me to create cake designs based on my customers visions and desires.
